Dr. Swetha Kadali, MD
Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Dr. Swetha Kadali practices general internal medicine in adult patients and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Her main office is in our Frisco location. As a primary care doctor, she has a passion for preventative medicine, and taking care of the sick and the elderly.
She is a strong advocate of preventative medicine and also believes that good primary care is essential in keeping chronic medical illnesses under control and avoiding unnecessary complications.
While growing up, Dr. Kadali had the opportunity of living in different parts of the world including India, Oman, and in the United States which enabled her to appreciate different cultures and customs. She developed a strong desire to pursue medicine as a high school student during the extensive time she spent volunteering at a local hospital. She decided to become a physician to fulfill her passion for the medical field and to help people lead healthy lives.
She completed her medical school training at Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences in Telangana, India. She then pursued Internal Medicine Residency in New York at Coney Island Hospital. Prior to her residency she worked on research pertaining to rapid empiric treatment of influenza in the Department of Infectious Diseases at University of Louisville. Training in a busy New York City hospital with a culturally and socioeconomically diverse patient population fortified her skills in treating and managing a wide variety of common as well as complex illnesses. Her residency training also helped her recognize the importance of cultural competence in tailoring patient specific treatment plans and goals. After residency Dr. Kadali went on to work as a hospitalist at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, AR and later worked as a primary care physician at the same hospital.
She recently moved here with her husband (who is also a physician in Frisco) and daughter to be closer to her family. She is excited to start practicing medicine in Frisco and to establish strong and long lasting relationships with her patients as a family doctor and help them navigate through their journey of maintaining good health.
In her free time Dr. Kadali enjoys spending time with her family, singing, participating in cultural events, gardening, and cooking.
