At our practice, we believe that regular skin check-ups are an important part of maintaining good health. An annual dermatologic skin check can help detect and prevent skin cancer, as well as other skin conditions that can have a significant impact on your overall health and well-being.
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, with more than 5 million cases diagnosed each year. Early detection and treatment of skin cancer can be life-saving. During a skin check-up, our physician will examine your skin for any signs of abnormal growths or changes, such as moles, freckles, or spots that are different in color or shape. If any suspicious areas are found, a biopsy may be performed to determine if the growth is cancerous.
In addition to detecting skin cancer, an annual skin check-up can also help identify and treat other common skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, and acne. Our doctor will be able to make an accurate diagnosis and provide appropriate treatment to help you achieve healthy, clear skin.
A regular skin check-up is also important for those who have a family history of skin cancer, have a lot of sun exposure, or have had previous skin cancer. People with fair skin, blond or red hair, and blue or green eyes are also more likely to develop skin cancer, making it even more important for them to have regular skin check-ups.
At our practice, we understand the importance of regular skin check-ups and we strive to provide the highest quality care to our patients. Our physician will take the time to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and provide personalized treatment options to help you achieve your best possible skin health. So schedule your annual dermatologic skin check today, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with taking care of your skin.
